Harry Weiniger - Co-Chair 

Harry is a 4th year medical student at the University of Birmingham, currently intercalating in an MSci in Clinical Anatomy. He has a particular interest in surgery. Alongside being SJMA co-chair, Harry has been President of Birmingham JMed, where he organised the society’s first student medical conference, and is involved with Birmingham MedSoc and Maccabi Selly Oak football. In his spare time, he enjoys all sports and learning torah.

Benjamin Birns - Co-Chair 

Benjamin is a penultimate year medical student at King's College London, having returned from a intercalation in Astrobiology and Planetary Sciences at the University of Edinburgh, with interests spanning life on Earth to amongst the stars. As Co-Chair, he is excited about encouraging a national and multidisciplinary sJMA. Beyond his Chair commitments, Benjamin is actively involved in a number of medical research projects and is an avid fan of professional cycling.

Becca Kushner  - Events Lead

Becca is a fourth year medical student at ARU and recently finished her intercalation in Management at Imperial. She loves travelling to rogue places and is a massive musical theatre nerd! She is looking forward to this years events and to meeting everyone!

Daniel Amselli – Mentorship Scheme Director

Daniel is a 4th year medical student at Leeds and the Mentorship Scheme Director. He is responsible for organising the Jewish Medical Mentorship Scheme, which pairs Jewish medical students with doctors around the UK for support and guidance. This enables Jewish students to feel better supported and to allow them to gain an insight into what the world of medicine looks like on the frontlines, especially as a Jew. Daniel was also on the committee of his JSoc and is an active member of his university CST team. Outside of medicine, he is passionate about reading, languages and football.

Nechama Giffen - Secretary 

Nechama is a medical student at the University of Leeds, currently intercalating between her third and fourth years at the University of Manchester, where she is undertaking an MSc in Reproduction and Pregnancy (Research). As Secretary, Nechama supports the committee through administration, communications, social media, event promotion, and liaising with partner organisations to support Jewish healthcare students across the UK. Alongside her role with SJMA, Nechama also serves as a university representative for VRIMS. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, cooking, and reading.
